二层扩展

从一个数据中心到另一个数据中心的二层扩展通常支持需要二层邻接的应用或系统。一些旧版应用程序的运行需要二层邻接,并且这些系统(尽管越来越少)仍然存在于企业环境中。

在云计算的现代时代,跨长距离扩展二层域已不再是典型的用例;当您没有其他方法解决组织和技术问题(除了跨地理上分离的数据中心扩展二层之外)时,请将此选项视为最后的手段。

二层扩展因以下原因而不受欢迎

  • 它们可能会增加创建拓扑不对称性的机会。
  • 广播和组播风暴有从一个数据中心扩展到其他数据中心的风险。
  • 它们可能会增加 MTTR
  • 与三层扩展相比,它们更难进行故障排除,因为二层和三层之间没有明确的界限。
  • 它们需要在所有 ToR 和叶交换机上安装二层环路检测系统。

通过限制二层网络的范围,您可以减少问题发生时的潜在影响。如果无法避免二层扩展,则必须将扩展的二层广播域保持在最低限度,以限制 MAC 地址通告和撤回。扩展二层域与合并多个广播域相同;它创建了一个地理上分离的大型广播域,该域通过远程的复杂网络互连。

将二层网段从一个数据中心扩展到另一个数据中心涉及扩展 EVPN 类型 2(MAC 和 IP 地址)路由以用于单个 MAC 地址,以及类型 3(包含组播)路由以用于 BUM 流量。在具有多宿主的现代 EVPN 和 VXLAN 环境中,扩展类型 1(以太网自动发现)路由和类型 4(以太网网段)路由同样至关重要。

此示例配置使用 EVPN 和 VXLAN 二层扩展将 DC1 中的 VLAN ID 10 与 DC2 中的 VLAN ID 10 互连。路由目标导入语句将两个 RED VRF 相互连接,并在 RED VRF 内的 server01 和 server03 以及 GREEN VRF 内的 server02 和 server04 之间提供连接。RED 和 GREEN VRF 无法相互通信。server01 和 server03 与 server02 和 server04 位于同一广播域中。从二层角度来看,它们是相邻的主机。服务器在其 ARP 缓存中包含彼此的 MAC 地址。
